When you say long distance, how far away do you mean?

A few hours or further away?

Well I would have no problem with that, everywhere is only hours away and if you were getting on well it would be worth it. Might actually be better than living in each others pockets.

I finished a year long one last December...She lived in Yorkshire, and i flew there, and she flew here, every 2 weeks..Totally impractical (and bloody expensive, lol!)...If I'm in love with someone, I want to be with them all the time..

So now I'm looking for someone who at least lives on the same rock as me, lol

I tried a relatively long distance (Dublin/Wexford) relationship a few years ago. I think it can work if both have the freedom and means to travel.

I had kids at home, he didn't. So I wasn't free to travel very often and it was left to him. Luckily he didn't mind that but I can imagine it would get very tiring after a while for the person doing the travelling. Distance wasn't the reason we split up.

I have seen couples have a long distance relationship for months or years..yet as soon as they manage to get together they split up.
