At the NATO summit , the Danish PM was chosen to head NATO. In an impressive show of military might, nearly a company of crack Danish troops unveiled their new military weapons of brightly painted cardboard shields, rubber rocks and slingshots. Gen. Hans Brinker stated in his press conference that the objective of Denmark was to inflict as few wounds on enemy combatants as possible. Medical staff and psycologists will accompany the troops into battle to tend to combatants wounds and treat any psycological trauma they may have suffered in battle. When asked how he intended to defeat combatants armed with leathal weapons, Gen. Brinker stated "We intend to make leathal weapons illegal in combatant countries and therefore do not see them as a threat". When asked for his approach to running NATO and his plans for troops activated outside of Denmark, Gen. Brinker stated "we are working on a strategic plan at this moment and hope to have it completed in 2012".

You won't know anything about this but Denmark is one of the world leaders in a certain type of weaponry!
Personally i think your post is insulting to Danes, especially given their role in the Second War.
Two shall we say pivotal figures from the Intelligence community served there who became sacred cows within the American Intelligence community, but then i doubt you would know anything about either of these two things.

If this is a joke it's bad taste!
Are you referring to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter, Lemur or the individual systems of advanced composits, communications software, control surface componants and weapons pylons?
Are you talking about Alexander Haig, etal: or native Danish intelligence officers. Put a muzzle on Dude (as it was so designated) and this slant will stop.
Let's see, the Vikings originated in Norway by chance? Weren't the Kiwi's in Vietnam too? Was the withdrawal as much political as military? Was the UN involved?
toranoga: Let's see, the Vikings originated in Norway by chance? Weren't the Kiwi's in Vietnam too? Was the withdrawal as much political as military? Was the UN involved?
......Well you could be correct, that Norway were the first Vikings ,but the Danes were at that time a real Feisty lot....heard of the 'Berserk Viking' warriors....?????? Has for Vietman yep Kiwis were there, and the the general populace of New Zealand at the time, weren't happy about it.... The Vietnamese had the will to win,and were ready to die for there beliefs....America didn't, both in politician and in Military sense.... As for the Untied Nations that one I am not to sure about, but I don't think so....I know the Untied Nations sanctioned the Korea conflict in the 1950s.....
I haven't loked it up for a long time, but the forces in Vietnam from 1959 on US,NZ, AU, etc. came in at the behest of the UN to replace France. At that time(1959) they came in as military advisors to South Vietnam. How it really escillated after that time is something I have never really been able to find out. Given that most of that information in the US is sealed for 50 years, this year will be the first year that any of that information will be available to the public. That means we won't have all the information until 2025. The US pulled out in 1975. Then we will maybe have an idea of what really went on.
I still have difficulty understanding why counties that are not in North America, are even in NATO!! I say kick them all out! Nothing wrong with a universal alliance...but it shouldn't be part of NATO! JMO...of course

As you are aware of aircraft, you'll be aware how long a project takes to deliver from drawing board to deployment.

Maybe you should read a little more military history.
I said American Intelligence Community.
I'll help you along and you can read up on "sacred cows" within the intelligence community".
Google Allen Dulles
Here's a link for you to read something on this gentleman.
Maybe you should read the answer more thoroughly. Do you know what etal means? Are you making the claim that Alexander Haig is not of Dutch ancestry, or is your claim that he was not head of the Joint Chiefs and Secy of Defence? Or do you claim that either of those positions has nothing to do with the intelligence community? Is your claim also that you originally developed microwave technology, or merely expanded on existing technology.

Please just go get an education and read some history books that are not printed by the children's division of Simon & Schuster.
Insulting people from Europe isn't ever a good idea, especially when you clearly have no respect for them
Maybe YOU should re read my posts, then address them, then get some facts in place before you try to defend your argument.
I'm not Danish Either, but i seem to be far more informed on weapon's development than you are! I won't tell you why though, it isn't important, but you clearly know very little about Danes nor their contribution to the Second World war.I doubt you know even the slightest fact about NATO, or anything about it? So why is it so funny to make jokes about NATO or Danes?
The Danes ARE one of the world leaders in microwave weapon technology.
And i don't remember even mentioning Alexander Haig
Maybe you just don't realise looking down on other people is insulting?

Nothing wrong with the Danes at all. And The Dudester is DEFINITELY NOT representative of the Danes!
Since you profess to be and expert on Denmark in WWII, perhaps you can provide information on the following: Frits Clausen Christian Peder Kryssing Knud Borge Martinsen Eric Scavenius Christian Frederik von Schalburg Cark Vaernet Frikorps Denmark HIPO korps
