Maybe this will get people talking on the Texas Forums.

I have been to Enchanted rock and Natural Bridge Caverns. Both are great. I also enjoy Texas Ren Fest.

How about the rest of you in Texas. What do you like?

I love the Lake Livingston area... the rolling hills of pine forests, and that big gorgeous lake with a 12 acre island in the middle covered with pine trees and surrounded by white sandy beaches and waist deep waters to play in! It's an awesome place! yay

Livingston is beautiful. I went there once for work so I didn't really get to have any fun but it was a beautiful drive.

Wow I've got to visit that place, it sounds awesome.
All my experiences in Livingston have to do with my aunt's house and her creek. I loved playing in the water, but I hated how the sand had a weird smell to it.

Lake Livingston is a very pretty place. Creek's are going to have smelly sand, what did you expect? It's dirt! LOL!

yea I've heard that SxSW festival is pretty good. We have Chili Fest here that is pretty crazy. But I'm banking on Austin being weirder. grin

In a kayak, on a river with cold water, clear enough that you can see the rocks on the bottom and the fish swimming to and fro.

my favorite thing about texas would have to be the fact that it is like no place else on earth. eventhough we live in america, it's like it's own country. in this state you can see just about every terrain type there is....you can run into every nationality, and lastly it's my home, and therefore my first love.
