I have reached a crossroads in my life and am strongly considering packing my bags for the U.S.
I have had this on my mind for quite a while.

The Irish have come to this country and made it better for generations. You will make new friends here. Heck there are people on here who would be your friends before you even got here. Go for it if that is what you want.

i couldnt leave the grand city of dublin! ive lived all over the uk and and briefe periods in europr, and irelands home. going between dublin and galway is as much travel as i need! laugh

having said that, if you know its right for you, then you'll regret it more if you dont find out. better to try and see, than to live in wonder.

Well im only 21 but have already done alot of traveling around oz, new zealand and europe so i would not be completely fazed by it anyway

no no, i love travel! but ireland is where i want to live my life. i dont think i could move so far as america or new zealand.

in ireland i can see family in england within a few hours, and visa versa. it works for me!

There are tons of colleges. You won't have an issue there. There very well could be a lot of money for college for you through grants. I went to college for free when I was in my early thirties, gov paid for it. Look into Goverment education grants USA in your goggle search engine. Best to you.
