I think he's alright actually, very quick witted guy. Good choice in my opinion.

Yea id prefer pat kenny to stay on but hes had enough, Pat kenny didnt get the recognition he deserved, I think overall he did a great job, to take over from gaybo was gonna be hard and he did ok

I rarely watch it so I'm not that bothered but just think of the alternatives......Gerry Ryan or Miriam O'Callaghan.
Gerry Ryan has a massive ego and would try and make the show all about him whereas Miriam wouldn't be able to hold enough interest long enough to keep the audience so the ratings would probably plummet.
He's the lesser of three evils in my opinion.

Dont hate him as much as I used to. Rather him than Gerry Ryan...cannot stand him. Not a big fan of Miriam either.
Love Ray Darcy, I think he might have been good but I remember hearing him say a long time ago that he would not be interested in it.

yeah well Im not a fan of GR but have to say I watched snippets of the show he hosted and it was much better than any of the PK nights, but think Tubridy will breath a bit of life into a dead show.
The Fantastic 4 did audition and were offered the gig but RTE couldnt stretch the budget and they were trying to curtail our creative minds ( which translates as they wouldnt let us decide on our guests and topics )

Tubridy is a disgrace. Anyone see his interviews with Petula Clark and Erin O'Connor, he had no manners and was downright rude. I wish it had gone to Gerry Ryan as he did a great job on the show when Pat's dad died. Yep, I agree Ciarán. What irritates me about his current show is the way he is trying to be an Irish David Letterman or Jay leno when he is nothing of the sort. Oh and as for that "Camembert Quartet". (sic)
