I am not willing to meet someone from abroad because I am unwilling to relocate, my life and my family are here so it would be unfair of me to enter into a relationship with someone who lived a long distance away.
And I dont believe in soulmates.

Well for that I think you would have to be sure that you were both in it for the long haul and I dont feel you can know that if you cant spend a lot of time in each others company.

Ali, I can only keep wishing you the best of luck. Many can't consider relocating, or have difficulty with arranging to travel, even, making an overseas love affair fraught with difficulties. Blending cultures isn't easy for all, either. But don't lose hope...there are those here who have made it work well.

I think I amswered that in my second post. To make the decision for a guy to move to my Country we would both have to be sure of oour realtionship and I dont think you can reach that stage if you do not spend a lot of time together.

I don't think we can ever be "sure" really, but that is the gamble. It takes a lot of bravery to up-root and go to someone on the other side of the planet, and it could all go wrong and perhaps very quickly. Guts and hopes and dreams etc, here's to them
When I was 20 I did all this, went to Australia to spend a year with my girlfriend. When I arrived she dumped me

Ah yes at 20 I could have done it, before children. Now I couldnt go to the other side of the world and start over.
Bottom line though is I dont think you can love someone till you have spent a lot of time with them and if they are on the other side of the planet and not just a couple of hours away thats not possible.
