Depends what you mean by corruption. But yes there's a lot going on behind the scenes. In a small country as mine it's not so bad yet but only time will tell where we're heading.

Nah...my amateur opinion on this would be that corruption is everywhere, but more endemic in certain cultures than others...hows' that?

Corruption? Great Britain. There is a corrupt country. Bulgaria given what my students say and they are pretty smart has it's problems too.
It's a difficult one, because as you say it is everywhere.
