She has said that after the baby comes she will be homebound and she has been tring to find someone to accept her and the baby even if it just starts as friendship
In response to: Just a question- Are guys willing to date a pregnant woman?
I once read a very romantic novel where the man actually fell in love with a pregnant woman who lost her husband - his bother. While i wish for your friend such fairy tale happiness...this just isn't the age for it! Its difficult enough getting seriously hooked up while single. (Do people still get pregnant from one-night-stands???) I'm sure she is newly pregnanat, she wouldn't feel like a date soon!
While I can see where you are coming from, I also see the flip side of this dilemma.
Why should a woman who is pregnant not date? I see all you have written about what a man would feel.
I find it an intriguing question.
Really S. she is expecting a BABY its a full time job and a drain on emotions, so is dating when its just starting - i think you can only concentrate on one at a time
Then again I'm sure what she is really in search of is support which shoiuld have come from the father who is absent, family and friends can come in here. Its more helpful than some new man demanding your attention when you have a more pressing issue to deal with.

Hi Petrolina.
Please understand I am not saying this lady should be out there seeking dates and not concentrating on her pending birth and the rearing of a child.
I am stating that why should being pregnant handicap a person in dating?
We have many threads here about single parents dating, all of whom are encouraged to date, why should a pregnant woman not have the ability to find love?
As you described in your post, it can happen. There are many men out there who have taken children on that are not biologically theirs.
I was a single mother of two biological children, one who I have adopted and raised for nine years, would that have prevented the man who did fall in love with me from falling in love with me had I been pregnant with somebody else's child?
mnowsa: It is sad to know that another child is on his/her way who will probably not get the chance to live with a normal family including a father figure.
I don't believe that will always be the case. After the birth and down the track she may very well meet someone and a relationship will develop.
