guiriman: the highlight of my week was cleaning my skylights ..very difficult job .. not for the faint hearted .. but hey I did 'em .. proud of that

It depends on when you start your week - if your week starts on a Sunday then I had a very 'up and down' week.
My highlights included quitting drinking alcohol and going to see a psychologist - Friday night was pleasant...... I treated five friends to a meal out with a live band playing good music in the background (though I had to go and ask them to turn down the volume as we couldn't hear ourselves talking on the table even though we were about as far from the band playing as possible!).
A few more highlights included buying a limited edition print of a painting of 'The Bounty' for a friend who wanted to buy it at the auction but lost out on the bidding to another friend - took the painter and two couples out on the Friday night after buying the same print that was sold but the guy who bought it wanted it sent to the UK and the painter arranged for another print to be sent from his studio in England - so 'all's well that ends well' as they say.
Bummer of a week as far as my fiancee left Tuesday when her original flight wasn't until tomorrow - so I messed up her main holiday for this year.

Did a tour-guide thingy for a friend of mine visiting Malta...I'm getting good at this!!...anybody need a tour guide??....you get pesto sandwiches on the sandy beach for lunch....nice and crunchy!!...:-)

I need a tour guide!I've been wanting to visit beautiful Malta for such a long, long time... ever since the historic Malta Summit in 1989. Such fascinating travel documentaries they were showing on television then and I haven't forgotten how picturesque they were!

Sure....haven't you heard of "Lago's Travel Emporium"....we can niggle over the financial niceties....I have just read your comment on not being prepared to be responsible for a man financially, so I have to do my masculine duty, and make you pay for your sins by charging you like a wounded bull for my services as a tour guide.......
