The flowers are nice if you see someone who interests you but you don't have enough time (or brain power) to actually compose a note that sounds good. It's hell to start an e-mail only to go into brainlock and not be able to write anything intelligent!

It has to be an e-mail explaining why the interest to start thing's off. Once a friendship is esablished, it it nice to receive flower's.

i must admit i don't really care for flowers in person i prefer chocolates but i know the guys don't know that and i really appreciate it,as far as internet flowers are concerned i think on average it says alot about the guy, they normally are the nice guys and end up being true friends who don't have one thing on there mind and want to take things slow and not rush into things, and i like that.

Hi, new here....here's my take on flower vs. email. I send a flower if I'd like to hear back, but it's kind of a signal to check my profile and if you don't like what you see, no harm, no foul. The flower is a compliment. If I received a flower, I would imagine the same. I've sent a flower or two with no response, so I assume we don't share the same interests.

I like both. Email is a good way to start a conversation. If I recieve a flower if I have an interest I will return a flower back if I do not have any interest than I do not. I enjoy emails and always respond to them. Rather I have interest or not.

I like both... I think a flower is a good way to let a lady (or gentleman) know you're interested. When I get them I immedialtely thank them for it and if I'm interested I let them know it's ok to email me if they want.

What woman doesn't love flowers? But of course, we always read the card! I like flowers with an email. I'm guilty of only sending flowers. That way the recipient can be flattered and the ball is in his court. Either he wants to play or he doesn't.

Hi vette and welcome. I agree with u on this. It kinda depends on how interested i am in the guy. If i really like his pic and profile i'll write an email telling him so. If i'm in between i'll send the flower to see if he's intersted and he can read my profile.

Ugh... flower mean "Lookie me, maybe call me."

Email mean "lookie me and reply or no manners you have."

Thanks for the welcome, all. And the flower thing is starting to work out....when you're having a rough day and you get a flower, it brightens things up!

I think thats probably the way it works now that I see all of the responses. Flowers really do break the ice. If you receive a flower, you probably should write back.
