There is no H in grocery!
I sometimes even hear announcers on TV saying groshery. This raises my blood pressure so high I want to throw a shoe at the TV.

I've recently been corrected for saying bologna instead of bologney. When I pointed out that there's an A at the end, not a Y, they quieted down.

Generally I'm not very picky but this particular word grates on me.Just to inform you it so happens I was born & raised in NYC and I've heard a lot of destructions of the English language that's for sure. Big John is right about the south though. Maybe I'll write a book about it one day.
