Its a strange ol' world of cyber that this is...and for the first time i believe to have met someone absolutely brilliant in more ways than one. The irony or twist in these circumstances is that to those who've done this before, all the normal procedure of "getting to know" someone is done purely through written words to which both people involved can read and take time to understand. Whereas with the "normal" dating procedure you probably spend half the time totally infatuated with the person you're with that most things they say float right passed your lovestruck ears(or at least thats what its like for me anyways
I'm fully aware of the other defining factors but right now i'm more than happy to be riding this wave of happy times and looking forward both patiently and anxiously to what the future holds...

I don't claim to know what others are feeling with their hearts cause I'm not them and only know what "I" feel in my heart. It's not my place to tell someone what they shouldn't or shouldn't feel for someone whether they've met that person or not.
I certainly had no idea that there were certain rules people must follow regarding internet relationships.

I wasnt referring that to you..
You have ur opinions and if you believe or not is you..
I am saying others think we are insane to think we actually can..and that was on the other thread..
It is quite possible.. and it has happened to me once..and if I'm lucky will happen again soon..
I think it is a much stronger relationship, because you spend so much time writing on phone, etc without the physical distractions,, and get to know each other first from the inside out...
A physical attraction is just that.. and if it is based on that physical attraction, it's not real love anyway.. it's infatuation, and that tends to wear off real quick once you see the person behind the beautiful facade...
Real love is something you feel in your heart.. not see..IMO.......Everything else is just icing..
outofnothing: I know this is quite personal but its a quite simple question really...answers on the back of a postcard please Discuss...
it defo can happen i've found amazing, honest hotalicious man and i haven't even met him yet but we will be soon woot, but i find it crazy didn't think i would fall for someone before i met them but i was wrong lol thank god i was wrong
Maybe, I've begun to like a few people in these forums after being here awhile. I've been intrigued and momentarily infatuated. I've certainly been challenged. But, no love yet.

I say yes, it is possible. However, I also believe that falling in love with the idea of falling in love with someone can blind someone into believe they love another as well.

Yes, Yes , Yes, and I need an attitude adjustment tonight.
Thank you for your post. I fell in love with someone over the internet, that I cannot have, but will always hold a special place in my heart for him.
Why? Because, no matter what, he listened to me. He listened to my heart, he listened when I was having fears, bad days, and he just did that , listened. Hardly ever responded, except to say, he was still listening.
When I met him face to face , eyes to eyes, it was a once in a lifetime experience. He knew my heart, better then anyone, and seeing his eyes, was all it took.
Can't have him, but he taught me a life long lesson, about love, that love is there , even when you cannot see it.
