smoky: Oh yes, that`s me .. I fix everything ... Bring me your broken hearted and I mend them, bring me the "getting divorced" and they get back together again...... You can even bring the sick and they get healthy again. I think my brother visited here 2,000 years ago, but he forgot to take me back with him, so I been stuck here ever since ..........But it`s getting wearying and I`m getting tired of fixing things .........
gillyloves69: if you prefer talking to google then thats up to you ! but i prefer talking to people ! ! its the conversation i like not the information...i'll just wait until somebody feels like talking about the people that they chose to mention
Yo, My Man Gilly!
T.S. ELLIOT, quoted from his "The Rock"
"Where is the life we have lost in living? Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information? The cycles of Heaven in twenty centuries Bring us farther from God, and nearer to Dust"
...............
WALT WITMAN in "Song of Myself"
"I celebrate myself, and sing myself, And what I assume, you assume, For every atom belonging to me As good as belongs to you"
..................
As for Google and Wiki .......... don`t forget....... what STEVE VAN MATRE says in his "The Earth speaks".
"Come, listen to the earth with us. For those who have learnt to hear its song The earth can soothe the troubled heart, refresh the weary, soften the hardened, redirect the lost"
...................
THE DAGARA TRIBE from N/W Africa have this saying ...
"Living in two worlds, a ritual to read to each other:
"If you don`t know the kind of person I am and I don`t know the kind of person you are, a pattern others made may prevail in the world and following the wrong god home, we may miss our star."

thanks for livening up the threads though smoky
I dont know who they are either, but if I`m using their words, then I feel obliged to quote their names as the originators of their poetry, otherwise I could be accused of plagiarism.......
You ever heard of the Dagara Tribe from NW Africa? Me neither!
I just collect these wise sayings and bits of poems and use them now and again..... I just love the wisdom contained therein.
