believe me when i say there are lots of different accents in ireland even i can hardly tell where some of them are from..

Most of the people I've talked to are from Dublin, but there was one lady that had a very different accent, and I have no idea what part of Ireland she was from.

Yes, that's very likely.
In talking to Canadians from other parts of the country, you do get to know where they're from, just from their accents.
