Perhaps I'm stating the obvious, but the answer to why you attract certain people lies not in those people but rather in yourself.
What are you doing that's attracting all those "weirdos" and "desperadoes"? That's the question. I've always found that we attract those who are on a similar psychological level.

I totally agree that we need to self examine outself first. Be honest and look at who we are and what we present to others. You know the old saying: If it looks like a rose, smells like a rose, it must be a rose.
