Great post, Englishman! After all, as was said in another post, these are international forums, and we are all very different. There are probably times when each of us, including myself, has gotten caught up in the pissin match and said something out of line.
But there are posts that get quite nasty, stereotypical, and personal. I think the question we must ask ourselves is: "If I wanted to get to know this person face to face, would I say this?"
It's particularly harmful to newbies. I don't know that soandso really has a "heart like a marshmallow." or that this woman just got out of a bad relationship. Haven't been around long enough. I don't know that everyone is sick and tired of this particular thread coming up again. Darn, everyone here is supposed to be a person. Give folks a break for just expressing their opinions.

I am not cencentrating on meeting anyone. Let's just say that I may be more to take on then what meets the eye.
I agree about the bashing and such. Alright I may make a comment in humor, but I do not have any reason to diss anyone. I like having a good repoire with others.
