We are responsible for making changes in our lives and not the stars or fates or even saviors how ever you define them. We reap what we sow isn't a cliche, but a fundamental principle of life. We sow with our thoughts, our words, our actions, and our emotions and all of those "seeds" come back into our lives as our harvest. We often want someone or something outside of us to clean up our messes that we have created when in truth we can and must change our lives by sowing differently and by rowing differently in the river of our lives. You can change your world. Start sowing and growing a different type of seed today based on love, forgiveness, personal responsibility, encouragement, integrity, and equality.
I agree with you. I think we control our own path in life and we can steer our course by the decisions and actions we made. I find that if I am unhappy I have the ability to change that. I work on positive reenforcements to myself all the time. It works!

Be great and grateful.
Quite right... need to take responsibility for all our own thoughts and actions... the nicer the thoughts and actions the more we get back from life.

our actions are manifestations of our thoughts. i believe if we are cognizant of whats we do and say and possiblity think at times we could achieve a alot of great things for ourselves

There is no doubt in my mind that a person can convince themselve to better than they ever thought possible. Athletics are able to muster these energies and generate super efforts with the help of mental powers. Knowing how to study in college and to channel positve thoughts helps students to better grades. Workers are able to produce wonderful results from focusing on a 'can do' attitudes.

but unfortunately we are all prone to the emotions that distract us at times. Self doubt, anxiety, anger, fear .......even the strongest of us sometimes falter along the way.....life only gives you back what you put into it.....and yes ATTITUDE ! is one of the vital key to positives results.

hopefloats: The world would truly be in cultural shock if there were more "positive" people out there!
Only once one has known real sadness can one feel true happiness.
What makes us happy? Being rich? Having a good family? Or a decent job with good pay? These are all possible answers, and the common thing is that these are all our wants. We are happy because we feel satisfied when these wants are being fulfilled. Nonetheless, human beings are always hungry for more; we simply cannot fulfill every single wish. In my humble opinion the key to true happiness is to be satisfied with what one already has.
P.S. Have a bucket list, but don't worry about not acheiving everything on it!
"Happiness is not in money spent. But in having nothing and being content."
Slim and I were laughing just last night because there is more "worth/valuables" in his truck than what is in our apartment. And that's only because he needs technology for his job. We are both pretty content with "simple living".

hapiness itself is a choice. you can choose to be happy during your journey to achieve your goals, instead of needing goals to be met before allowing yourself to be happy.

Can anyone truly achieve "happiness" and what is happiness.....to me i have reached a state of contentment in my life......i have learned to love beyond flaws, to forgive and move on, to accept the things i cannot change and have the wisdom to know the difference, being there in the early mornings and watching my kids wake up all sleepy and full of love for me is pure joy, sharing laughter with friends and family, giving of myself selflessly, helping others in need. Material things should not define happiness or who we are but sometimes unfortunately alot of us equate our purpose in life on exactly such things.
So to me happiness is when you reach a state of contentment

I written this several time, but I will again. I know I will be happy when she wakes up in the morning and rolls over and smiles just because she is happy to be there.
In the mean time, I live my life in case she never shows up. I continue to enjoy this world to its fullest. I wake up each day and seek interesting thing to do and see. I do not intend to be on my death bed and say the words "I wish I would have done that!" If I think of things I want to do--I do them. People who are close to me know that I am on the move constantly seeking those adventures.
