Well my two year old has just recovered from a vomitting bug and seems to have generously passed it on to me moping

Been sick a few times since yesterday but the worst by far is the constant nausea and aching in my body sigh

So I have tried drinking flat 7sigh up, ginger biscuits and dry crackers, none of these help oh and also tried motilium fast melts and no joy either frustrated

Have any of you any old wives tales that can help this nauseus feeling as I don't want to miss college tomorrow or any day for that matter. help much appreciated xx

Drink lots of water...wont help with the nausea but will stop you becoming dehydrated.
Read some where before that boiled 7up will not really do any help. cant remember exactly why. Might act as a placebo though.
dunno

No prob. Few months ago friend of mine had a bug...he could not understand why he was feeling so crap 3 days later. asked him if he was drinking lots of fluids and he wasdoh doh doh

Its very simple but people do forget. A lot of soft drinks have caffeine in them and that actually adds to dehydration so water is probably the best thing in that case.wave

Flat 7 up and dry toast is the usual tonic but i see you have tried those. . think you need a brandylaugh or the hotwater bottle against your belly!Have you tried a painkiller e.g. panadol or solphadine?

Make sure not to drink really cold water, it causes the stomach to contract even more.

Try Chamomile tea if you have any.

I did a quick google search but none of them came up with any great ideas.

Try the chemist tomorrow, I know I got stuff before to settle a stomach bug, but a lot of these things just have to run its course. comfort

Flat Cole (the real stuff, not the imitation)

Tried it myself and it really works. Something to do with the caffeine, sugar and the 'secret' ingredient in the mix.

Was recommended to me by my GP years ago.
