800 years to get independance and thrown away in 80 by greedy corrupt politicians.Seems wherever there are heroes like Michael Collins there are scumbag politicians who only exist to turn any situation to their own benefit.I dearly hope there is a God and that one day they have to answer for their actions.

If we need Europe, it's because they have already sold us down the river! And if anyone is quite happy to be served up repeated referenda disguised as democracy, then we will have the government we deserve.

Inspite of just about every politician in this state and every newspaper and television station urging us to vote YES the last time, the people voted NO!

Why was this not accepted.Because we didn't see things their way, we obviously didn't understand.Sheer arrogance.

And following this, we will NEVER be allowed another referendum.Welcome to the federal republic of Europe!barf

I voted YES last time, and will happily vote YES again. It has little or nothing to do with our Government's failings. I am pro-EU and see whole-hearted membership in a strong Union as Ireland's best hope of influencing our fate on any issue important to us.

I think Europe has been good to Ireland, but i don't think this is a good reason to vote yes. I think as it stands we have a good balance of certain decisions being made in Europe, while individual member countries retaining powers that are key in enabling them to effectively run their own countries. I believe the new structure proposed by Lisbon will not only slow up the bureaucratic process for decision-making that has worked well (imo) up to now, but will also take important powers away from individual states going into the future. For this reason, I will be voting no

What important powers are being taken away? How? People keep saying things like this but I don't see what the big threat is

Can you download the PDF file? If you can then do it, then you can get a PDF to word converter. Take 2 mins to do.
