Healthy, you don't know my heart, and you are very wrong to call it selfish. I give a lot of myself, my money, and my heart to people...have done this all my life. But I don't believe the government has the right to take money from people who have earned it very hard work and give it to someone who has not. I am for helping those who can't help themselves, but we all know entitlment programs are full of able bodied people who just don't want to work.

My taxes as a self employed small business owner in California are incredibly high. After the government takes a big chunk, I barely have enough to pay my rent, while my neighbor (who is on welfare) does not have this worry. He also has government health insurance, and because I have preexisting health condition and don't qualify for government aid I pay an astronomical sum every month to Blue Cross just for basic major medical coverage, and can still be bankrupted if I had a major illness while my neighbor would not.

I believe it is the individual who makes the choice of what he wants to give, and he should give as generously as he can through God's grace to those who are truly in need. There would be no greater joy than this. But to be forced to pay with hard earned tax dollars for government waste, fraud, scandolous perks, and people looking for a free ride is terribly and intrinsically wrong. You are no longer free but a servant of a machine that was created to serve you. Guess what: If the governement says so, Christians may have to fund abortions one day with their tax money (if they aren't already).

I'm not sorry for what I posted, and leave my heart for God to judge.
