solsticemoon: I'm not sure but I have read that during certain types of treatment if a special ice cap..(I think) is worn it can help drastically with the hair loss, apparently cost is a factor on why this isnt used more often..but for a woman this is probably one of the more horrid aspects involved..so maybe worth looking into for your friend

My daughter lost all her hair at 16 to alopecia. My friend looks to her for inspiration actually, it's kind of funny that way. Guess something good can come out of even the stupidest or most horrible things as they say.Thanks again though, going to look that up today.
