gussi: Winnie it isnt the worlds first one, the Aero Car was. and too be honest it still is the only one for me. this terrafugia looks to be a pain in the rudder if you ask me.

Yeah Moto - I forgot about the 1956 Mk 1 Aerocar 'til I looked it up when you mentioned it.
I don't like the look of the 2000 version -
The aircraft bit doesn't even have folding wings (36 ft span) and its too big to store unless the owner has a bloody hanger in a huge back garden.
At Thatrate one might as well go for a Spitfire 25 (75%) kit with a Vee 8 engine, build it with 2 seats, have a jacking steerable tail wheel to level her up, drive the main wheels when down and have carrier style folding wings as per the Seafires. That would piss off the traffic cops
Many years ago I made a Mk 1 to 1/48 scale static and the *caravan* - I thought then about the full size one - OK it's great for anyone with a long tandem garage and long driveway to store it.

reminds me of the air traffic controller, who instructed a pilot who wss having trouble with the brakes, to land on runway 2, if you overshoot, turn left at the traffic lights, and continue into the airport car park

simple, looks like red 1 might be grounded in real life if the medical dont go to well.
