It's not you. It's the online thing, it looks like it should work, but it brings out all the negatives somehow. Keep reminding yourself that you're a good person, and deserve someone decent. Cause you do.

well, honestly i'm starting to wonder if i should just pull myself off the market completly for a while. I don't want to but here's what i'm looking at:

i work any where from 12 to 60 hour weeks

i never know when i'll have a day off ('cept saturdays) or most of a week off.

i have a 9 year old and a 7 year old who i devote almost all of my free time to

i have no personal life aside from that, which means no friends

and i work and female dominated feild

it's been so long since i was out on the 'market' so to speek that i don't even know how to begin really, and now i have obligations i didn't have the last time i was single and the stipulations that go along with that not only are daunting to prospectives but to me also. I don't want a guy to think i expect him to make my priorities his, at the same time he HAS to understand that stability in his life is now a keen quality in a match for me.

i just don't know any more at this point. that above statement is usually enough to make a guy say 'we could just be friends'

It does sound like you have quite a plate-full. Speaking from my own experiences/decisions in life, when my two boys were that young I "made the decision" to put my life, so to speak, on the back burner. My main priority was raising my boys and devoting all my free time to them. I figured me finding someone else could wait until they got much older. They grow up too fast! LOL So that's what I done. It takes alot of self-sacrificing to withhold your personal needs. However, you might actually find someone that would completely understand your priorities and be willing to forego a relationship with you regardless. I wish you the best and happiness in all that you do.teddybear

Well, there ya go! grin
See how easy that can happen?

It's downright scary sometimes..

Love sneaks up on ya when you least expect it.

Even easier than taking a walk around the block.

Maybe there's hope for this online soul-mate-seeking stuff after all!
Although I'm not 100% convinced of that yet... heart wings
