Anyone can offer someone a job but it has to be offered to Canadians first, of course. If no one comes along for the position then you have a chance but I guess that is very rare

Both my great grandparents were born in Kassel I believe..very strong German heritage...his father was a village overseer before the revolution...most of his family starved to death there...we don't have much history actually, just the bit my great Grampa told. He said it was very ugly and horrific...and he got to North Dakota to families who had left before and who would help him. She was a Heupel and he was a Bien...they were married for 65 years..and she made the best noodles in the world!
And...btw, Canadian Geese mate for life as well..if there mate is killed, they will live their remaining life in mourning and alone.

Think you will find it the swan that mourns for life after partners death, hence the term swan song, because swans will sing mourning song until they die themselves.

Yes, the swans as well...during the month of May here in the Yukon, the Trumpeter Swans stop to refuel and eat as they head to the north tundra to nest. There is a place called Swan Haven where you can view and listen to them as well as a terrific cabin filled with all sorts of interesting facts about the swans and other birds...
