A player is a guy who is a smooth talker. He tells ladies anything to get what he wants.. They usually have nice cars, outstanding personal grooming, more skin products/ hair products than ladies...

I like to think I have a sense of humour and am honest with all, but I have been questioning myself recently.
I have fun in the forums, I like to tease and am being playful most of the time, sometimes I can be serious...
But I read profiles that say... "Don't want/like players" or "if you are only after fun, move on"
I enjoy the banter and speak my mind when I see attractive women, both on and off the forums. Sometimes the conversation can be a little naughty, but certainly not miss-leading.
As most of the conversations I am having are with women 1,000's of miles away, I view it all as a bit of "fun"... as there is currently no way of meeting to see whether there is anything more... unless of course I come up trumps on the lottery, in which case I will happily travel to see these ladies.
So, my question is.... what IS a player ?

Just kidding....It's good to have fun...but when a person does get involved...i believe they shouldn't be "playin" the field anymore.
Player to me means they keep checkin out their options...looking for something better. Looking for that rush that makes them feel good without reguard to anyone else's feelings. JMHO...what ever that's worth

I'm not sure what exactly constitutes a player but most of the time, I view the forums as a place to have fun and joke around...nothing wrong with flirting. JMO

There's a big difference between playful banter and being a player, and I doubt that anyone here would put you in the category of player....I know I certainly wouldn't, based on what I know of you up til now.
The earlier post about keeping one's options open and always looking for something else summed it up pretty well...and players generally do that on the sly, while professing their affection and possibly some sort of commitment to another. A player generally likes the hunt more than the capture, but still must have a capture in his lair. He doesn't want to be without someone, but he can't be with just one.
You banter, you tease, you flirt, and so do many of us.... myself included. But distance is a real issue and so we are often hesitant (understandably so) to try to take it further.
Carry on as you are, English...keep playing as you do, for you're not a player. In fact, you can play with me anytime you like!
