I want to pop one more thing in here about the difference between our society and the ex-soviet bloc society.
The ex-soviet bloc countries it seems viewed everybody as capable human beings first, our society places more emphasis on gender division and that I believe is a big difference. It creates a sense of us and them.
I used to do life-skills and the first rule in my courses was, we are all equal and will be treated as such. I kicked a couple of guys out of my courses for thinking otherwise.

navygirl1: You are right. I worked with a woman in my last civie job that was down right rude and swore worst than any sailor. She used the C word. I also worked with a woman in the navy that couldn't do her job and I almost was killed becaused of that. Needless to say I tore a strip off her, she cried, and my superiors wanted an apology but I refused. She endangered my life as well as 4 other shipmates. She was removed quite quickly from the ship thank goodness. I try not to let things like this bother me but really I am puzzled. I know I will meet that great guy that will accept me for the person I am and visa versa and when I do, I intend to make him one happy man.
Oh hell, I'd date ya! If I only remembered how to do it. I think I have a manual around here somewhere with instructions.

Hey navygirl, I have a question for you... years, and years..ok eons and eons ago when I first joined the armed forces I did my basic training in Cornwallis Nova Scotia, but I heard it has closed down several years ago (damn I'm old), where do they do basic training now ?

Basic training is now done somewhere in Quebec but just can't think exactly where.

I saw nothing racial in this comment at all. Your profile does say you are from the northwest territories does it not? White, black, native, whatever. Just makes no difference at all.
