Christmas Poem.....with a thought... Author: twinself
Wine and turkey…. Log and Puddings… Warmth from the fire.. Laughter…. Sure looks good from out here….
I tighten my tattered coat...and wonder Where would I fit the Christmas Tree…? In this cardboard box… I call my Home ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I has posted this poem on the site, at this time 3 years ago... It has since been archived, so I thought about starting a new thread..... (with a little adjustment to the poem)..

RobertC2: Your's was a PROPER poem.....mine just gibberish.
Christmas tree Needles lying about you Sharp needle tears Shards of empty wrapping paper A broken christmas tree ball The lights now turned off The fairy stuffed back in his/her fairy box until next year Gone now the season of good cheer The children lie asleep and gorged With chocolate mouths And happy greedy smiles Parents sigh And wonder how Next year they'll pay for more fake snow.
Now THAT was the serious twin writing!! The *feeling* one....

Let's really update this poem...
Christmas Delights.../ Christmas In the city
After shave for wine, a photo of a turkey, (from a Martha Stewart cookbook) An old orange crate for firewood, and day old pudding from a diner... Warmth from the fire , (laughter from a limo passing by with windows down...) Sure seems normal from where I huddle...
I tighten my tattered army jacket and wonder... Where could I fit a Christmas tree... In this dumpster filled with other discarded, and disposable people, that we can now call home... Maybe Martha Stewart can design some wallpaper for our home and donate some lights for our delights...

Cool!
This Christmas No pigging Christmas tree No worshipping long dead babies on bended knee No wistfulness for years gone by No wishing to be next her to lie (And see the sparkling snow outside As I nestle close to her breasts) No need to mourn for Christmas past No need to feel an old outcast!
Just take it like another day Scrooge was really quite 'ok' Before the Spirit of Christmas upset him Kids screaming - what an awful din!
No, Christmas Spirit - Leave me alone To chew upon my well-chewed bone How I hate to see others jolly Snogging each other under holly Now I wish to be left as I am......... Unless some cutie says 'I love you so' Then I'll gladly do her in the snow!

You truly *got it*...Solitaire.. Christmas is NOT the same for everybody....
Now Christmas comes but once a year A yard of ale A little cheer Then the cold wind blows down from the North Eyes stream and then you begin to cough Swine 'flu has come into your life It's even settled in your wife You huddle in your linen sheets And try to remember all the treats Was Christmas only weeks away Then New Year's Eve - that came then went away? Where have all the loving feelings gone?
Another bomb blast lights the sky Baghdad, maybe or some place else That man decides, with evil mirth, To blow up with some satanic burst The fireworks now that light the sky Are not the one's we wish to see The whole darn world has gone crazy!
You see - we CAN foretell the future NOW Life is like a holy cow That wanders through the streets of New Delhi With a skinny, empty belly One day of cheer for many of mankind When we try our best our faith in others to find...... And then - It slips away again........ Why?
