Thank God my Fish and my Tortoise don't loose any hair, don't occupy my bed space and don't need any cuddling. Just fresh lettuce for the tortoise and clean water and worms for the fish.

Morpheusine: My three cats and two dogs are allowed onto the bed - if they want to.....

How about yours ? Are they allowed to sleep in your bed and what does your lover say to this ?
My thinking is: men come and go - my pets stay Please do not trash me for I am very new here and just am trying to test the waters if there are any men out here who love pets and don't mind being around them

Because: I DO COME AS A PACKAGE !

Somebody tell me that I have to buy a dog... still thinking in this...confused

Michael211_2000: Well I for 1 have no "lover" so that's a non-issue (unfortunately!). However my fuzzy kiddos happen to be nocturnal... they want to sleep all day and play all night.

The only time I tried to get one to sleep in the bed with me, he stood on my face put a paw in my mouth and tried to lick my eyeballs open. Yeah that didn't work out too well I guess.

I tried though.

Weimarlady: Even if that is the reality (unfortunately for us humans), I honestly would not make such statements on a site where I hope to find a partner....

I think, this is exactly the right place to make such a comment....otherwise I would end up with an animal hater ?dancing

Morpheusine: Do you see yourself typing (as in; do you hear yourself what you are saying ?)

Don't you think that I have taken preventive measures to keep pests away from the animals, me and the flat ????

and to bust another one of your bright lighbulbs: fleas, mites etc. will not stay on the floor...they will get into and onto everything - if your place, your animals are infested....

But: I am ok with your answer because a man can't think much further than black and white....

That was very unkind to say to him. I agree with him as animals don't belong on the bed as not only are the pests but can affect a person's respitor system. I don't have pets for that very reason as I like a clean house and being able to breath. You asked others to be kind to you on this post, then maybe you should do the same to Englisman. scold

Ha, ha, ha! That's funny!
I am coming in late, so forgive me if I am not following the thread. Yes, my animals are allowed on the bed with me. Or at least the dogs were until they decided they did not need to go outside at night for the you-know-what, especially the littlest one. Since dogs are pack animals, they all get to stay elsewhere now. The cat? Well she pretty much does as she pleases.

I always manage to pick a partner who loves animals as much as I do, so it's been a non-issue in the past! purple heart

And welcome aboard! Good to see you and that you are posting here! bouquet

Oh... lighten up, marine or whatever you are serving in.

I don't really get why some people have to be always ANTI against anything ... and by the way: it is spelled "respiratory system"....

Everybody has their preferences and that is ok - I do have mine and I am not afraid of stating them publicly as others do, too.

So, what is the deal about those two numbnuts trying to say that everybody, who's got animals living in the house, stinks and has a dirty house ?

And who are you to say that my house is not clean ? I am very particular about my house having to be clean and still I let my critters in my bed with me - that is how it is and how it always will be. With or without man / men in my future.

So, take care and serve your new pres well - as he is really trying to get the States back onto everybody's good side !

(you'll probably bash me for this sentence, too ---- but I really could give a cat's fart about it !)

So you wipe your cats and dogs backsides as well then, as cats fecies are really quite toxic epecially with children around.
Yes you will say they keep themselves clean, but not always, and what about when they eat something that does not agree with them and you can't get them out the door in time.

Although Flee and Tick preventaive products are very effective it is possible for either creature to stay long enough on an animal to get inside the home even with these products.

And what about their feet.... do you clean then before they enter the house... consider what they have been walking in throughout the day and then they come snuggle up with you on the bed !

I could go on, but then I would only be thinking in black and white..... stupid me.... stupid man ! doh

No worries and thanks. She is in her own world. I find it quite funny as most of our uniforms, customs, and naval traditions came from Britian. Just didn't like her saying men only see in black and white. Thought her comment was nasty to say the least. scold
