Homeopathy is an alterantive cure. It is legal and popular in many parts of the World. Some years ago i was hit by a car and pain in my leg was unbearable. The conventional pain killers were helping for 3-4 hours but no permanent healing. I was introduced to an Homeo medicine and it has cured in just 2 days. There is a lot of critisism on this mode of treatment as well. Wikipedia is full of it.

What are your opinions about homeopathic claims? Have u ever adopted this way of treatment...........?

I have always been leary of it but since you say your pain has subsided, I think I will look into it. My concern is that it's probably not covered my medical insurance.

Thank you for the insight.

It is a very gentle and safe method of wholing, healing the whole person not just the complaint. Well worth considering in conjuction with conventional treatments, if needed. thumbs up

i agree,,,,,,there are many truths in the world, instead of one truth only.

The homeopathy is good to compliment the traditional one,,,instead of having clash with it...........

Natural herbs can sometimes help with certain problems - example glucosemine for aching joints etc....
But where people make mistakes is in believing they can cure a serious illness. In fact overdosing with herbal remedies can cause serious liver damage and death . ( I have seen this close-up )
Be careful people - always let your physician know what you're taking and how much ........thumbs up

Thats more natureopathy than homeopathy, but the advice on dosing is good.

I never told my physician squat. laugh the majority of pharmaceutically driven docs tend to scorn the use of homeopathy. It takes from their pockets. Besides there is no interaction difficulties in homeopathic remedies, providing you've found a knowledgeable homeopath.,, and tell him what drugs you're taking.

Natureopathy, herbs, minerals and so called health supplements is quite another story and one should inform any health care advisor about everything they take...as you say.

You never can overdose with homeopathy, cos the remedy is taken in an extremely dilute form, normally one part of the remedy to around 1,000,000,000,000 parts of water....

Confuscius, he say:

'A limp man should not worry and take too many herbal remedies........ just replace ugly wife with nice new concubine and all bad symptoms vanish like a fart in a cool evening breeze'

I am very pro-homeopathy, but wouldn't just go with a flow - for me to use it as an alternative treatment for myself or for my family, I need to either know how and why it works or at least to have a previous succesful experience with this particular treatment.

And yes, I did use homeopathic "remedies" more than once, and with a better results than from a traditional medicine.

Sorry, untrue.

There are many different dilutions, called potencies. Incorrectly prescribed amounts can have adverse affects, as can the incorrect remedy choice.

Can't overstate the wisdom in a using a knowledgeable accredited homeopath who the first time he meets you spends an hour or more going over your whole history. Anything less is some goofball who needs your money.

There are however some remedies on the market used for flu and cold symptoms and other 'accute' symptoms. These are relatively harmless; but to say you can't OD is inaccurate.gift

Another arguement I would like to address is using the words " Cure" and "Remedy" ........which suggest final termination of an illness.
Science has recently proven that in many cases illness can be brought to "un-detectable" but often not "Cured" because further testing proves the illness still exists. Viruses are a prime example of this. One can think one's cured of a Virus and in actuality it only suppressed by one's immune system to a point where standard testing doesn't detect it.

I think homeopathy is great.......for certain things.
It's nice that we live in a day and age when we can use a combination of both that and conventional medicine to find a solution to what ails us. cheering
