No, it certainly isn't. I am a very modern gal, but still thank a man when he holds open a door for me or helps me with my coat. Most important thing in a relationship is simple resepct for each other.

Exactly. I went on a date with a guy about 3 weeks ago and all he could talk about was his possessions and how much money he had. Needless to say, there wasn't a second date.

even in emails I find the the 'it's all about me' approach very boring after a while, when all they appear interested in is talking about themselves, not concerned with what's going on with you and coming up with smartass one-liners...
