craig63: Thanks it is good to know that romance is not dead
No, it certainly isn't. I am a very modern gal, but still thank a man when he holds open a door for me or helps me with my coat. Most important thing in a relationship is simple resepct for each other.

Amen, sister. I just wish more of them would use some old fashioned chivalry. It would get them a lot more kudos than big talk, mostly about themselves.
love a man who actually listens, pays attention and is genuinely affectionate and romantic

shared compassion. the ability to appreciate. knowing that just occuping the same space doesn't always constitute as quality time.
What attracts me to a man is: Someone who can make me laugh even if I don't really choose to. Someone who's not afraid to cry.Someone who's kind and considerate of mine and other peoples feelings.Who's supportive, who doesn't blame, criticze nor judges me when I make a mistake.Who accepts me for all my flaws cause I'm not perfect.

Exactly. I went on a date with a guy about 3 weeks ago and all he could talk about was his possessions and how much money he had. Needless to say, there wasn't a second date.

If everyone male and female fitted this description then imagine how many dating sites would vanish overnight

I think we can all relate to that one
even in emails I find the the 'it's all about me' approach very boring after a while, when all they appear interested in is talking about themselves, not concerned with what's going on with you and coming up with smartass one-liners...
sense of humour is hugely important..a shared laugh, not a show-off one lucky for us there are some enlightened men out there
