in the snohomish and skicomish river valley not far from where I live there are several darie farms that have built methane powered electrical generators and they produce enough electricity to run the farms all from the fermenting of cow manure., oh and the excess by product is great for gettiing your garden to grow.

CjTenorSax: Well, it seems the experimenting needs to be done on the "Cow Pies", rather than the cow per se.

In the 1800's dried "Cow Pies" were used for heat and cooking in the peat homes of the Praire settlers as there were no trees. So, since they could burn very effectively dried, it stands to reason that fresh cow pies may have many more uses as the Methane content could be stronger/higher than when dried. . . One would think any ways.

Did anyone see that show on The History Channel about after the world ends? A guy made auto fuel out of restaurant grease, lye, and some other ingredient. Cool show.
