what a ridiculous statement. kevin kilbane has been an amazing servant for the irish team and played out of position for the whole world cup campaign... a very consistent player, and you were questioning my patriotism???

I was not questioning your patriotism. All I said was i would not bet against my country. My opinion. period.As for a ridiculous statement, well thats your opinion. My opinion is Kilbane is not good enough for the irish team.
Do i think he is disloyal? No.
Do I think he's not a nice guy? No.
I wasn't questioning his integrity, his loyalty or his character.
As for his consistency, yes, i am questioning that.
IN MY OPINION he either plays well for Ireland or plays horribly bad. Now i could be wrong here but that is my opinion.
Oh and for the record, i do not think criticising a player who pulls on the irish shirt is being unpatriotic.
Being unpatriotic is wanting him to do badly. Anytime Kevin Kilbane (or any other irish player for that matter) pulls on an irish shirt, he has my full support. Now if i bet against him, i might (just might) have a vested interest and might (just might) want to see him do badly. Thats all I am saying.
