If it is wireless then eircom says that it is sending out 3-7mg service but the exchanges or post offices/relay stations are not equiped for it. They wanted to cut my service down to 2 mgs but still pay for 3. I told them to rack off. They need to get their relay stations upgraded to match the speeds they say they can produce.

They are just a rip-off but some of us have no choice.

eircom / 3g are the same ?

if so it may be harder to go to your local 3g store as i know of two shops they have closed down so far ? so be prepared for that long wait only to be told " please hold and our customer services will be with you in rotation " lmao

I used to have the eircom box....my problems started when the charger would always overheat after about 10mths of having it....luckily i had a similar one from something else...fine for a while and then some probs...was told to keep pushing the reset button at the back with a needle ....
after so many times a techie from eircom said yep it probally is your modem if it happens again we will replace it

next day it happened again and some indian fella went thru the whole list of why it couldnt be the modem.....folloeing day i cancelled my subscription and use my mobile plug dongle from vodafone ...which after a year has been starting to play up frustrated but its a lot cheaper and i can take it with me when i go out and about

Ive even knitted it a little vest and scarf conversing
