I have not heard anything abouut it. 3000 dies in 911 which was heartbreaking and disgusting. 250,000 people diesd in the 2004 Tsunami and it looks like 100,000 have died in the Haiti Earthquaqe. How much does the world spend on anti terrorism measures and military wares that we could be giving these nations so they could have the infastructure to cope with such disasters. Nobody can stop an eathquake or Tsunami but if the people had better building structures, logistical powers, hospitals and basic infastructure those figures could be halved at least. We have our priorities really messed up in this world in my opinion?

remember the bad ...forget the good....people will remember one mistake and never forget, but if someone or country or whatever does mounds of good, just does not get the headlines..... it does say alot about the world ....

dillinger: supposedly bush said, "30 yrs if we get it right. 100 if we get it wrong." in reality we're looking at a never ending war. a war which cannot be won.
but who is the real target in this generational war?

I agree ...but a question here ...not that I believe this however ..but still.....
Even if a war cannot be won ,does that mean the war should not be fought?

It depends on what one's goals are. If it's for re-election I suppose it can be justified....

About 2200 years ago, Hannibal of Carthage attacked Rome with elephants, intending to destroy it.
Hannibal failed, but he put such a scare into Rome that the Roman empire went on a 150 year rampage across many nations unrelated to Carthage, destroying populaces and stealing their wealth. When the empire had conquered nearly all known nations, it's enlarged military needed even more funding yet their was no more wealth to acquire from the invaded nations or from Rome itself.
Rome collapsed not because of attackers from outside, but because of its own greed, waste, corruption and warmongering. The collapse of Rome sent the known world into the Dark Ages, where religion (catholicism, in this case) ruled as people lived in ignorance under its oppression for a thousand years.
Of course, that's nothing like what has been going on with the US and the world.
Osama bin Laden didn't commit suicide, like Hannibal did.

sorry I though we were talking of war ...not terrorism ....I agree with you however....but one can only set on a fence for so long as others throw rocks at you......The so called "war on terror" may very well be a farce....I don't know....however I do believe that sometimes war could very well be the only way out.... wars of recent are, it seems, not about right and wrong I have to agree with you there....
