For me anything aussie is outstanding.. big fan of Elvis and anything to do with blues..
I`m a big fan of a band called Status Quo.(here in march).. They are a bluesy boggie rock band from the UK.. I have followed them for nearly 40 years..
As i muck around on the guitar, i just love 12 bar blues i could sit and play that day in day out..

I love all music... just not a fan of a lot of C&W ... don't mind a bit of Johnny Cash though .. just for a change.
My Dad is Slim Dusty's cousin so I grew up on a steady diet of Slim.. and therefore am probably over it a bit. Though I still choke up when I hear him sing Brumby the ringer.
I recently found (through my daughter) Aussie Hip Hop Or SkipHop and have downloaded a stack of great tracks.
My favourites to date, Drapht (a WA Boy), Bliss'N'Eso and Pegz.
Also dragged out a bit of oldschool NWA.. brought back some memories.
I will listen to anything really.. I have music going all the time ... on my lappie.. my iPod... my stereo at home, in the car.

I also like "Promenade"... from Pictures at an exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky.. its one of those huge fanfare pieces that lifts you out of the room, it makes me break out in goose bumps and my hair stands on end!

"Let's Have a Party" Wanda Jackson mid 50s, first rock/rockabilly song I ever got into and "Red River Rock" Johnny and the Hurricanes same era and same reason - first instrumental rock.
From an earlier time "Catch a Falling Star" Pery Como, all of us kids seemed to love that one at the time.

That is Trumby Mate, am an old slim fan from wayback.
Trumby was a ringer, a good one too at that.
He could rake and ride a twister, throw a rope and famcy plait
hahaha I realised that later..and thought..no one else would know..
