OK friends many of you know I lived life never dating or thinking of dating anyone younger than me. I am still alone on a single site no less so here is the punch line. Recently there is a guy I have been corresponding with who is 23. He wants to meet me and talk on the phone, I am always hesitant at first meeting people especially with my insecurities and of course my weight issues lol. Should I just go with it and see how it ends up even though it breads my so called life rule???

You should always live life to the fullest because you never know what tomorrow will bring. So if that means taking a chance on a younger man, then by all means. It is better to try and fail than never to have tried at all

Izzy,

I think you may be pleasantly surprised. I was nineteen when I met a 42-year old woman. I thought she was absolutely beautiful inside and out. We saw each other for months and we decided to get married. I would be married to her to this day if she hadn't had an aneurysm. Even though she was so much older than me, I couldn't see myself not loving her.

This was my experience (and actual performance may vary, heh-heh) but if you never try, you'll never know.

Isabella..first off let me say hi..nice to meet ya!..I am a firm believer that the heart doesn't recognize an age...it sees through compasion and connection..if you think too much with your head and don't let your heart lead then you could possibly be missing out on the love of a life time...go for it cause ya never know what fate has in store for ya!

Then you did good, you faced it and braved the fears of dating and rejection, more than most would do. Whatever reason he has for not contacting you, who cares. It wasnt meant to be and keep going! His loss right?

Not to rub salt into wounds in that you've already decided to proceed with it, but I think it useless to set "rules" or "principles" for yourself if you aren't going to follow them.

Perhaps reconsider this one for future for reference? =)

Some rules were meant to be broken. Especially the ones self imposed that might be keeping u from finding happiness, trying something new that ur afraid to try or preventing u from living life to it's fullness outta fear of the unknown. It's never useless to keep improving urself and redefining who u are, what ur looking for and what ur willing to try that at one time u were close minded about.
