I love Plays, I was going to say "Going to the Theatre" but that might sound pretentiousblushing and I have not been near a theatre for years...possibly even a decadelaugh laugh
Anyway, I think that seeing a play is one of the best forms of entertainment ever.
I went to see a local production of " My Fair Lady" last night and it was outstanding...really enjoyable.
My next play I hope will be something by Oscar Wilde...love him but I have never seen any of his plays, keep missing them when they are on in Dublin.
Anyone else a fan of "The Theatre"? come on...lets be pretentiousapplause banana cheering

I love the theatre too. I also love Ballet. Have seen Swan Lake and a couple of amateur shows which were brilliant.

Seldom get to go though as none of my friends are into either. I know there's nothing wrong with going alone but I never seem to just go ahead and do it.

Hey M, wave

I haven't seen a play in yonks. Hoping to head to "A wake in the West" in Westport this week. They have put it on a few times but have never managed to see it.

Was at "The Pirate Queen", a musical set around the life of Grace O Malley a few weeks ago. 1st performance by an amateur group. It was fantastic.

Hiya C.wave
Maybe an idea for meeting up so go for a meal and see a good play?
I would go on my own cos I am past the stage of caring lol but obviously it is much more enjoyable to have company. Last night I took a group of people as I was there in a work capacity and it was fantastic. Keep an eye out for Oscar in Dublin and I will go with youcheering

ive never experienced going to a theatre, but i have been in theatre plays 3 times in my lifetime

first one was in primary school the book was called the big book of fairytales

my second play was the evil king in the birth of jesus for a christmas religious play.

and lastly was in joseph and the amazing technicolour dreamcoat, which was my favourite, i got to be one of the merchants and the voice of the camel :) as well as a palace guard, which was fun as i got to throw people here and there :)
