So..she wants me to meet her downtown at a pub where there will be festivities!! So I jump in the shower..primp..and head down! I walk into the pub and up to my friends and say "Happy Beaver Day" it's then that I realize which beaver their talkin about..so I pulled up my pants and went home!!
No..seriously though..it is really Beaver day...in 1975 we made it our national animal Don't judge

that reminds me of a joke...a woman goes to get a tattoo of elvis on her upper thigh...and she does'nt like it...says, that looks nothing like elvis...so the tattoo artist says, i'll do another one on the other side...well, she says, now that does'nt look like elvis either

Next Happy Beaver Day stop by my house on the way to the pub. Drop your pants and stay so we can honor the little critter. Perhaps the little critter is hungry for some finger food or a banana. Maybe the little critter just wants a whole lot of

Examples (off the top of my head) would be "kerfuffle" (Americanese would be "brouhaha," or "ruckus") "suck" (as a noun, opposed to adjective - e.g., "I'm a suck" versus "you suck") "washroom" (instead of "bathroom"), etc. Also, GG would say "expiry date" instead of "expiration date."

One I really object to is calling "electricity" "hydro." Hydro-electricity is a form of creating electricity - as I often point out to GG - and is not synonymous with electricity. Adding to the confusion is that here we have water bills which are often called "hydro bills."

Ohhhh..I do sense a new thread. I think you, GG and I should put our heads together and see what we come up with. I dated an American and he hated when I used the word POP..as in the carbonayted beverage..you call is SODA.
