Water consumption????? To my knowledge, you can't create electricity by any means of water 'consumption'... Ontario's electric is Hydro (water) Powered by the force of Niagara Falls (I think).

Solar power makes the most sense to me, except I used to have some driveway lights that were solar powered, and they didn't work on rainy days...

The shortage of Water is a problem and the Govt is using the water/Hydro to make electricity
The solar energy is a good source to make and save water

Solar power needs sunshine...not every country has sufficient sunshine.

Electricity is not derived from water consumption.

They may be 'using' the water, but they aren't 'consuming' it. There must be a way to re-use the same water...

dunno

when they use water for hydro it is still available for other things. All that happens is that the force of the water passing through turbines and creates electricity. Usually natural sources such as lakes in the mountains with a dam at the end are used

Unless there is a way to STORE the solar power, then every country at night will need another source of electrical power.

Good post ,but it is for the countries that have enough water but nowadays many agriculture countries are facing the problem of shortage of water but they are still using it for electricity and they are not thinking to utilize the other natural sources dunno

In addition to some being a natural outflow into a river, there are some that actually draw the water BACK through the turbines and release it back into the dam at night time when the demand for electricity is lower...refilling the dam for the next use of that water to create electricity.

Solar wouldn't be too bad an idea for domestic use, but you are not realistically going to be able to rely on it in any society, anywhere to provide enough power.

Tidal power is one to watch for, and nuclear fission(then hopefully fusion) is the most likely to take over from oil.
