Something strange occured recently when i visited Ukraine. I live in an area of England with very little accent & think i speak pretty clearly. I went out with a girl in Kiev ( who spoke English ) . Later she introduced me to her cousin who understood a little English but only spoke a few words. The next day when i met up with her again she said her cousin never understood a word i said although she always understands American's when they talk to her....


Makes me think i do have a bit of an accent. I know one or two people who have posted on this thread have met me. Hope they understood me uh oh

I read about a guy in London picked up an Aussie bar maid, they went back to his place and half way through she had finished so she said to him "Aint you slimed yet?".
That was his evening over with...laugh
