Would it be though. Nobody to have a drink with, eat lunch or dinner with. Nobody to sahre a luagh or knowing glance. What about pictures? You would look a right tool in all the pics on your own. Holidays alone would not be for me.

im 40...yay and i would love to go away on my own..i like my own company...
i think it says a lot about a person willing to travel solo..
your not obligied to do certain things ( like eating at set times, or exploring )..when your on your own.. you can do your own thing at your own pace...

I posted a thread about holidaying alone. And I got very positive feedback.

Had all the intentions of going ahead but pay was cut again so I can't afford it. Maybe next year.

I go out foreign a lot on my own but in relation to my career and studies usually a 3 to 4 day sort of thing...And i never miss the company because theres simply too much to do...but for strictly a holiday with sun and drink i would prefer company....although however posted this is bit of a sad git, not everyone feels the need to be surrounded by people they know all the time...Some people are just stronger and more secure in themselves and who they are, they live life there own way and fair play to her! I hope she went somewhere descent aka not Spain barf

what is so sad about that? the best thing about that is you meet new people when you get over there, My father takes holidays to the canaries on his own, meets new people and has a great time, you wouldn`t go on holiday on your own because your a wimp who is afraid of his own shadowlaugh
