You can never get away from mom grin

I stopped in and saw my mother tonight. Before leaving I mentioned what I was having for dinner, Stouffers Mac/cheese and Angus beef burgers. Of course she hit me with the Stouffers having a lot of fat and the fact I should be eating right due to the heart. I knew this but some nights after a ten hour work day I don't have the oomph to make a healthy meal, I want something I can just pull out of the box and toss in the oven or nuke it grin

I do love my mother grin

My mom and I often say to each other " I cant stand ya but I always love ya" LOL

My mom is forever nagging me and I am forever that lost teenager in her eyes. We are close friends though now and I sure appreciate having such a great family and an understanding Mom.

Know exactly what you mean! I have been married, have grown up kids, live in and work in a foreign country but my mum, God bless her, still grabs my hand when we cross over the road together!dunno

Hmm, old story isn´t it once a mom, always a mom.
My mom was always different from others, so maybe that´s why she sees me as an independed person.

I know where my mother is coming from with her concern. Eight years ago, in a matter of five weeks we lost my cousin who was only ten months older than me to a massive heart attack. Two weeks later, my father died due to a stroke which was caused by a blood clot breaking off from within the heart. Another couple of weeks later, my uncle on my fathers side died of a heart attack.

I'm always on my boys about eating right but do kids listen.......NOT roll eyes

I moved out when I was 15, had a baby at 17, moved 600 miles away at 18. I couldnt wait to be away from my family. Now Im 32. My mom lives a block down (2 houses), my sister lives across the street from her and my brother lives 3 houses down! Now, I value every living moment I can spend with my parents! (not so much my sister and brother though!)

Same for me and my mom. We are more like very stubborn sisters than mother and daughter lol We butt heads but there is without a doubt a close connectiong between us and lots of love as well.

My mom is the world and more to me and forever will be!
