There is one guy in the group who always tries to get my attention by irritating me..I guess he never stopped being that boy in grade two who pulled pigtails. Anyways..at the end of the night a slow song came on and he asked me to dance..after a few exchanges of "no"..he pushed the right button so onto the floor I went. I assumed the position anyone would take when dancing with their Uncle at a wedding..arms out and stiff..several inches between bodies..etc. Welllll...he wrapped an arm around my waist..pulled me in close and tight..took my other hand in his and held it to his chest. We stood there softly swaying..the feeling of his strong arm around my waist..his hard "body" against mine..the smell of him hitting my nostrils..him softly singing in my ear..the feeling of someone else being in control..I got weak in the knees. At the end of the song..we stood for a few minutes..he walked me back to the table..and then proceeded to open his annoying mouth 
and the spell was broken. Forgotten how much I missed slow dancing and being wrapped tightly in a mans arms.

man!!... what is it with that "annoying thing"... is it like some kind of a nervous twitch some guys get when they aren't comfortable in there own skin and pass it up as a comedy act of sorts to hide behind... oh... I think I just described my 1st ex hubby
... it's like a clingy child grabbing at your skirt to pick them up
