Mate, read your post/Question, you already know your answer even though it's probably not what you want to hear? Follow your heart bro, go with your gut instinct

deadbutwhy: Yeah, but not a lie to you personally. Lying is not commendable but I can understand it; afterall, we've all been liars at certain moments of weakness in our lives

I like your way of thinking, DBW handshake

In the example I described, this young woman was awfully insecure and wanted to be liked so badly, hence her lie wasn't anything more that wanting to be accepted.

I still remember her actual real photos... red hair, adorable full of freckles face with a painfully shy smile...

Quest4SoulMate: Long story short

Met a woman on another site, we chatted; smsd Imd and phone convo

Anyway I started falling for her even before we met and in a round about way expressed that to which she said basicaly see ya too much pressure.

2.5 weeks later she smses me and asks me if my mum is ok ( she had an OP and it was a bit sketchy for a while)

So my question is WTF, why would she sms me and bring herself back in my life if she knows how i feel about her and she jumped ship earlier ?

I would like opinions, I dont need cheering up just a general consensus as to what is happening as I am not in an unbiased and able to think straight position.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Well, fella, by your own admission, you were a bit full on, initially. So, she took a step back. However, that was nice of her to remember about your mum. I assume that as part of this SMS she didn't suggest meeting up? Well, I would just chill, see what happens. Let her do the asking. That way you cannot be accused of being full on, again. I'd be for giving the lass the benefit of the doubt, but, of course, keep an eye out, lest she COULD be one of those who mess around, interested/not/interested, etc..

Based on some of the posts and the fact that I know the situation better my gut is telling me I was too full on (I blame the gemini within) and she took a step back. I am now in cruise control rather than on the speed track.

Thanks for your input MrInteresting
