wanyo1: jes this is a tender subject, i agree with you fully on that. have seen it all before

it is a tender subject mainly cos single mothers get the brunt of it even though there are single dads out there....most men dont look past the fact your bringing up kids on ypur own when really most single mothers are strong independant reliable caring and so on ...

Galwaygirl1970: Are a lot of men put off by women having kids? I have one son aged 7 who goes to his dad every wednesday and every 2nd weekend so I do have some sort of 'life'....but have been chatting to a couple of blokes on here since I joined up last week and as soon as I mention that I have my son most nights, they seem to disappear.

Opinions please.

You make it clear in the wording in your profile that your son lives with you but in the section on the right it says "lives with me sometimes"

This might be confusing some guys.

If a guy is put off by you having a son then it's his loss and be glad he disappears before you meet and get more involved.

I put that up as he is gone every wednesday and every 2nd weekend, so its not full time....is there another option I can change to?

Yep, I'll agree with that, seen it before, many times.

As for me, kids don't scare me at all, although sometimes their mothers do. laugh

I would see having kids as a bonus it wouldnt bother me and if the fella was responsable and looked after them and not blame the other partner I would say he is a very good catch. Kids helps a man grow up some men dont and if if they didnt rise up to their responsability I wouldnt give them the time of day. Kids arent just for Christmas lol.
