AND THE FILM IS A CRACKERJACKERyeh its starting after this.....this prog presenter sums up the book as a "gentle plea for tolerance"........and still as relevant today as when it was written...a need for generosity of spirit...

Most of us only care about money makin
Selfishness got us followin the wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting their young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what the see in the cinema
Whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness and equality
Instead of spreading love, we're spreading anomosity
Lack of understanding, leading us away from unity
Where is the love?

Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockinbird was the book I had to study in English in secondary school. It was a very good book and the film does it justice. With an excellent cast and powerful storyline, this one is not to be missed!

I had no choice in the matter, the teacher selected it. I wasn't looking forward to it but in the end I thought it was great. Definitely going to read it again sometime. It opens the auld mind, doesn't it?
