DUBLINGUY1973: Do you know many people going to the wedding? If you do then I would go alone. I know from experience weddings can seem daunting when you go alone but you might have good craic if there are a few people there you know. Besides, I doubt you will be the only single person there. You never know your luck. You might even meet someone new. My sister actually met her husband at a wedding funnily enough.

id say i will go on my own. just the fact i told her i would bring someone i just think i look a bit stupid now. but i know im just being sillyId def go alone if I couldnt get a friend to come with me..no way would i ask someone id just met who is to say with a few drinks he wont turn into a complete arsehole and make a show of you and himself...dont think id inflict that on the happy couple
I would say take a friend, someone who's a bit of craic and likes a bit of free grub or go single and round up all the other singles there and herd them into a singles pack for a serious piss up
