flick1980Offaly, Ireland27 Threads 1 Polls 1,684 Postsjust wondering if anyone has any tips on how i can get in contact and meet someone quickly. i have a wedding next month and i really dont want to go on my own. my friends already have things on. if i start to talk to someone and i mention meeting up im sure they would think im a bit of a mental case trying to meet up quickly. suppose i just want to meet up to see if we got on and if we did i could ask him to the wedding. i have 4 weeks. am i at a lost cause?

To be honest it would be very soon to invite an almost stranger to a wedding. Would it be difficult to go on your own ??

I agree. Friend/work colleague/friends brother would be better than a stranger.
I don't see what's wrong with going to a wedding alone though. any wedding I've been to in the last 8 years I've gone alone and always had a brilliant time.

although it isnt a very long time to get to know a guy,,,then expect him to go to a wedding full of strangers to him ,,but a party where you probably know everyone

Do you know many people going to the wedding? If you do then I would go alone. I know from experience weddings can seem daunting when you go alone but you might have good craic if there are a few people there you know. Besides, I doubt you will be the only single person there. You never know your luck. You might even meet someone new. My sister actually met her husband at a wedding funnily enough.
