True. I would g about as far as answering a question or popping over for 2 mins.... maybe. But that fades out. Especially when you meet someone else. Wouldn't go for dinner or drinks with an ex. Or even meet them at all after a while. i am soon with one... he has a broken heart over a previous relationship and he's come to me for comfort.. its weird as i dumped him but all my exs have come back to me as in made contact more then once after we broke up.. but ya my ex that im meeting up with soon has only interest in been friends and bascially wants a shoulder to cry on.. i love when people come to me for help or guidance no matter what they had done to me in the past.. all will be forgiven no point holding a grudge with someone your whole life
I can say hand on heart why would i want an ex as a friend who needs enemies with friends like that.theres usually a bloody good reason they became an ex..

Yea me and my ex get on quite well still have a very good friendship but thats about it i caht to her online alot and shes happy im moving on.

1 of my best friends is my ex wife, we just grew apart but always remain friends. so yes if the reasons for the break up was amiable then ye can remain friends

dont think its often two people fall out of love at the same time but yeah i see your point. I think alot of it is how the split is handled and how you treat the other person.I would talk to an ex but have as a close friend? no none so far
