Personally, i don't think you should be trying to force her into something she's not gonna be comfortable with. Hope that doesn't sound insensitive, but she's obviously gone through something really tough, and something like loosing hair, for a woman, will totally knock confidence. Hopefully, she will reach a stage herself where she's ready to get back out there.

I think that if experience has thought her differently then all the support and encouragement will fall on deaf ears sadly. Try to get her onto the forums first so that she can have a laugh for starters. My answer might be a little different if you meant wary and not weary. Lol.

Perhaps if you and maybe some more of her friends/family could pool together bring her for a make over and get her a personally fitted expensive wig,it might help to boost her confidence and be more outgoing.I think personally,a decent man would not care anyway. heart beating

its complex, i think the best way to encourage her to dating is to first broaden here social scene, if she sees herself as diferent she may not want to get out there... i used to know a bald woman, she since moved away but she never let it restrict her, she headed out and about with a bandana on her head not a bother.... maybe suggest a festival or similar event

But I think that if she is comfortable enough to be at the stage of hair touching then she should have already mentioned the subject...jmo
